The Netherlands National UNESCO Committee

The Netherlands National UNESCO Committee (NUC, 1946) is the link between UNESCO, the Dutch government and several fields of expertise within the scope of UNESCO's activities. The NUC has been assigned a World Heritage Project by the National UNESCO Committee. The purpose of this project is to gain wider support for the Netherlands' position with respect to World Heritage. The NUC is a member of the World Heritage Project Group, which supports the Netherlands' delegation in the World Heritage Committee. World Heritage is also an important element in the information and education provided by the NUC.
